2025 Historic Haunted Walking Tour


Step into the past with the Ozark Historic River District as we guide you through Downtown Ozark, sharing fascinating local history with just a sprinkle of spooky! Fans of Ozark’s heritage (and a few ghostly tales) won’t want to miss this community favorite. 👻✨ 

Event Details
📅 Saturday, October 18th
🕓 Tours begin at 4:30 PM, with additional departures every 30 minutes through 8:00 PM (8 total tour times).
⏱️ Each tour lasts about 2 hours—be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! 

What to Expect
Your evening begins at the Downtown Ozark VFW Hall, where you’ll check in and enjoy complimentary refreshments. From there, we’ll set out on an educational and entertaining two-hour walk, stopping at 8 historic sites. 

Along the way, you’ll hear stories tied to: 

  • The Weaver House
  • Civil War Camp Brown
  • The Breazele House
  • Alf Bolin
  • The Bald Knobbers
     …and more legends of Ozark’s past.

The tour concludes at the Christian County History Museum on the south side of the Square. Guests can wrap up the evening with refreshments and explore the museum’s exhibits.
